Bonjour!

I am a French native speaker and qualified language teacher with over forty years of experience across Primary, Secondary, Further, Adult Education, Specialist Language Training in French Catering, Language Colleges, Language Proficiency Exams required for Immigration Visas and Professional Development.

I served as Head of the Department of Modern Foreign Languages at Bournemouth and Poole College for 18 years — an institution internationally acclaimed and respected worldwide by chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Paul Bocuse, Gary Rhodes, James Martin, and Adam Byatt. It is ranked as the top French catering college in the UK. Throughout close to two decades leading the department, I devised and created the French Culinary Language Programme in collaboration with David Boland, the former Head Chef of Buckingham Palace and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. Many of my former students, whom I prepared for international placements in Relais & Châteaux in France, The Ritz, The Goring and Buckingham Palace have since gone on to become Michelin-starred chefs themselves.

Alongside my extensive teaching career, I have served as a professional interpreter and translator across a broad spectrum of critical public service environments. My work with law enforcement includes, interpreting in custody suites, holding cells, and during police interrogations for both suspects and victims. I have also worked in hospital settings, interpreting for doctors, surgeons and patients across multiple departments translating complex medical and procedural documentation used internationally by doctors, including pre-operative materials that require high levels of technical accuracy.

Over the years, I have taught French to a wide range of professionals from hospital doctors to international racing drivers, Michelin-star chefs, Hollywood VFX artists and aeronautical scientists.

I have taught learners of all ages — from 8 to 85 years old — and at all levels, tailoring lessons to suit each individual’s profession, needs, and goals.
